What is a water pump?

A water pump is a device used to deliver water and consists of a mechanism powered by electricity or an engine. It has two main components: the pump head and the motor. The motor rotates the pump, creating pressure to push water from one point to another. Depending on the design and intended use, the pump increases both the pressure and volume of water. If a large volume of water is required, the pressure will be lower; conversely, if only a small volume is needed, the pressure will be higher.
